Congratulations to Hayley Bryce on winning Bronze in the Scottish Schools Championships, Girls 12 and under 50m freestyle. This was a fantastic achievement in a very competitive meet! (click pic for full size photo) Full results of the meet for grangemouth swimmers.

Congratulations To New West District Champions! Grangemouth Amateur Swimming Club now have 2 more West District Champions in Julie Nimmo and Alyshia McCracken who both got Gold at the West District Championships in Dumfries on Sunday 16th May 2010.     Julie Nimmo (12) is West District Champion in 200m Butterfly in a time of 2:38:63. Alyshia McCracken (13) is West District Champion in 800m Freestyle in a time of 9:47:70 Many congratulations to both girls. (Click on image for larger picture)
Relay Double Silver At Scottish National Age Group Championships The Grangemouth 11 - 13 year old girls relay team had two fantastic swims at the Scottish Nationals, April 8th - 11th 2010. The team - Alyshia McCracken, Hannah Busby, Julie Hunter and Julie Nimmo -  was in sparkling form, winning silver in both the 400 Medley Relay, and the 400 Free Relay. Congratulations to them all! Julie Hunter - Sets New Scottish 50m Fly Long Course Record !!!! Many congratulations to Julie, new holder of the Scottish Long Course 50m Fly record. Julie is pictured here with the 1 Open and 5 Age Group Medals awarded to her over the weekend.

Jason McDonald - Best Boy,  Gold and Silver Awards from Central Gala, 8th Nov 2009. A fantastic day for Jason at the Central Meet with three individual Gold (50m back, 50m breast and 50m free), one individual Silver (50m fly), Best Boy in age group, joint Best Boy overall, plus two relay medals. Medals and awards photo.
Gold at West Districts - 6th Sept 2009 Congratulations to the girls relay team, - Alyshia McCracken, Julie Nimmo, Hannah Busby and Julie Hunter. Not only did they win GOLD in both the Girls 10-12 4x50 Metre Freestyle Relay (2:01.05) AND the 10-12 4x50 Metre Medley Relay (2:17.66), they also set new West District Records for both events! Visit to M&Ds Sat 25th July 2009. A great time in the sunshine (yes, honestly!) was had by all who went to M&D's on Saturday. A slideshow with some photographs of the visit is available here. Our squads take on the Gladiators on land and in the the air - with mixed results!
