• Introducing the New Club Captains 2011 - 2012
  
  Meet Grangemouth Amateur Swimming Club's 2011 - 2012 Club Captains,  Hannah Busby & Cameron Atkinson!  
  
  Hannah and Cameron have been swimming at the club for a number of years and both swim in Gemini Zone.
  
  They will take on the role of helping at club our own club gala's, speaking to the younger kids at club championship, promoting the clubs successes and being good ambassadors for the club and role models for the swimmers.  If you (the swimmers) have anything you want to raise with them please let them know and they will be only too happy to help.
  
  Well done Hannah and Cameron - we hope you enjoy your year as Club Captains.
  
  

• Congratulations To Kimmy Buchanan - Best Girl At Cumbernauld Graded Meet
  
  Amongst some great performances for GASC swimmers, with lots of PBs, Kimmy was awarded Best Girl for the gala overall. This was a tremendous performance, in the first Gala after the summer holidays. As her mum says:
  
  "We thought she had a chance at best girl for her age - if she swam really well. She did 5 pbs and did much better than we hoped. We had worked out she was the Best Girl in her age group, then realised there was just one Best Girl for the whole gala - but didn't know if she had got it. Ended up she did!!  Hurray!!!"

  Grangemouth Amateur Swimming Club took a large team to the West District Open Water Championships on Saturday 20th August 2011 at Loch Eck in Dunoon.
